On 4th October 2016, the 19 people in Emerald class went to Ely Cathedral on a school daytrip. We travelled by a bus which we shared with Brington Primary. When we got there we realised there were about 10 other schools.
Workshop 1: Our first activity was Toilet Twinning. Toilet Twinning is a charity about building toilets for people who don’t have a toilet so they have to go in a bush or a hole which is dangerous especially after dark. They also don’t have clean water to wash their hands. As a result of this they get ill but don’t have any money to buy medicine so a lot of people die from poor hygiene.
Workshop 2: Our second activity was where we had someone from Christian Aid talking to us about global warming. Then we all discussed ways we can help to change the world e.g. walking and biking more.
After lunch we had a special service of worship. Canon and Jessica both led and said “If your faith is as small as a mustard seed you can change the world.”
