The lessons and videos you will need this week can be found split into Year 5 and Year 6. Please select your year group below to access the work.
Here are two extended English lessons to complete, ideally on Monday and Tuesday morning. Both lessons are suitable for both year 5 and year 6 as they contain a variety of elements, so that you can complete as much of them as you can - but please do not put yourselves under any pressure to complete them all.
In the first session you can look closely at a set of images and predict what could be happening in each of the pictures. You can then read and listen to 'The Great Realistion' and highlight your favourite lines and phrases.
In the second lesson, you watch a performance of 'The Great Realisation' and have the opportunity to note down all the positive and negative images and ideas that you can find. Thinking about the future, how would you like the world to be? As an extension task, you can plan and write a persuasive letter to your MP about the future that you would like for the world.
Last week you looked at how we might classify living things and also how scientists go about classifying the huge range of amazing living things which occupy our planet.
This week you will be discovering a classification group not mentioned in our discoveries last week and setting up an investigation to explore the living conditions for this group.
Please have a look at my plan below and follow each of the activities set out for you to do. Again use your Active Learn log in details to access any screens or videos that you need.
