ENGLISH

This week Miss Emms is teaching you all about non-chronological texts and how to find information needed to answer questions.

 

Monday Lesson 1

In this lesson, we will be reading a non-chronological text about pandas. We will then answer some retrieval questions based on this non-chronological text. 

 

Monday Lesson 2

In this lesson, we will be identifying the key features of a non-chronological text.

 

Monday Lesson 3

In this lesson, we will be learning how to identify and use subordinating conjunctions

 

Tuesday Lesson 4

In this lesson, we will be reading some facts about the Battle of Troy. We will be organising these facts under subheadings.

 

Tuesday Lesson 5

In this lesson, you will be writing a non-chronological text about the Battle of Troy.

 

 

MATHS

This week Mrs Crane will be teaching you all about counting in 3's and 4's. You will be learning how to complete some multiplication and division questions. 

 

Thursday Lesson 1

In this lesson, we will be learning how to recall the 3 times table by using skip counting.

 

Thursday Lesson 2

In this lesson, we will be learning how to recall the 4 times table by using skip counting.

 

Thursday Lesson 3

In this lesson, we will be learning how to use arrays for the 3 and 4 times tables.

 

Friday Lesson 1

In this lesson, we will be learning the division facts for the 3 times table.

 

Friday Lesson 2

In this lesson, we will be learning the division facts for the 4 times table.

Extension:

Changeit: Children could change the shape of object, taking pictures of the object before and after. These could be displayed for others to try and guess the technique used to change the shape of the object.

Guessit: Children could change the shape of an object, take pictures and ask others to guess the object which has been changed.

Filmit: Children could make a short film explaining how the shape of some objects can be changed.
