MATHS - Thursday lesson 1

This weeks math topic is all about measure. Mr Critchlow will be teaching your lessons.

In this lesson, you will be learning about calculating with weight. You will be adding amounts of weight, keeping a running total and trying to find combinations to fit a criteria. You will be learning to tabulate your results and work out multiple possibilities. You will be working with g and Kg.

In this lesson, you will calculate with money. You will be adding amounts of money and keeping a running total, whilst aiming for a target price. You will be learning to tabulate your results and work out combinations of money that will meet specific targets. You will also touch on ways of spotting patterns within your finding by working systematically to keep an organised approach.

MATHS - Friday lesson 1

This is a continuation from your previous lesson- learning about calculating with money. You will continue to tabulate your results and work out combinations of money that will meet specific targets whilst deepening the pattern spotting within your findings.

MATHS - Friday lesson 2

In this lesson, you will learn about problem solving when working with lengths. You will compare and match measurements and their equivalents, converting back and forth using formal and informal ways of recording mathematical thinking. This will help you to solve mathematical length problems.

MATHS - Final lesson

You will put together all of the skills from the past 4 sessions to help identify key facts within word problems. You will take these key pieces of information, identify the problem and work out ways to calculate the answer. You will be looking at money, time and length problems and skillfully solve them!
